Every day, M4’s trucks transport goods the eleven kilometers from the intermodal terminal to H&M, where the cargo is received by Modou Manneh and his team. As Inbound Team Leader, he understands the logistics challenges and appreciates his counterpart’s efficiency.

- We have a great partnership with M4. We plan according to our needs, check what’s available at M4’s terminal, and order the container we need. They then book the vehicle, we provide the delivery location, and shortly after, the goods are in place.

H&M relies on large volumes of clothing and accessories from suppliers in Asia. Sea freight is the obvious transport choice, says Manneh.

- Shipping ensures timely deliveries in a sustainable and cost-effective way. The direct connections from Asia to Gothenburg make ocean freight the most efficient choice.

With goods arriving directly in Gothenburg, bypassing feeder ports in Europe, transport times are shortened, and risks of errors and delays are reduced. Combined with uninterrupted train transport to central warehouses, the system ensures maximum efficiency.

- Trains are both reliable and sustainable. Of course, maintenance and repairs happen, but we always receive timely updates to adjust accordingly.
