En grävmaskin vid arbetsplatsen vid Skandiaporten.

Skandiaporten at the Port of Gothenburg continues to make strong progress. During May, significant developments were achieved across several fronts. Major works involving sheet piling, pile caps and concrete were successfully carried out, while preparations for upcoming phases remain on track.

Collaboration and commitment drive results

Despite a busy spring filled with complex tasks, collaboration between teams has remained strong. This collective effort has enabled the project to consistently move forward, improving both processes and outcomes.

Sustainable progress and solid groundwork

May saw steady progress in foundation work, earthworks and concrete operations. All 1,033 pile caps are now in place, and key adjustments and preparations for summer have been finalized. The accelerated sheet piling seems to be working effectively, with the project likely to be back on schedule before the summer break. In June, work will continue on water mains, coarse concrete refinements, and inventories ahead of the next phases.

Looking ahead to summer

A well-earned summer break is just around the corner. After the holidays, the Skandiaporten project will continue with renewed energy and focus.
